STAR TREK ACTOR NIMOY GETS SCIENCE HONOUR

STAR TREK actor LEONARD NIMOY will be honoured with a prestigious award for his contribution to the science fiction genre at this year's (09) Saturn Awards.
The awards are presented annually by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films to honour the top works in science fiction, fantasy and horror in film, television and home video.
And Nimoy, who played sci-fi Vulcan Mr. Spock in the original cult TV series, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the ceremony in Burbank, California on 24 June (09).
The 78-year-old will also be joined by DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg, who will be the night's first ever Visionary Award recipient.
Katzenberg, who famously produced animated films including Shrek, Shark Tale, Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda will be celebrated for his pioneering role in 3-D animation, reports Variety.
