STAMPEDE AT MOROCCO FESTIVAL LEAVES 11 DEAD
Eleven people have been killed and 30 others left injured in a stampede at a concert in Morocco's capital of Rabat.
The country's official MAP agency reported that a collective rush to exit the Hay Nahda stadium shortly after midnight led to the collapse of a fence which resulted in many injuries.
Seven people are still receiving treatment for injuries, but the majority of the wounded have been discharged from hospital.
Of the 11 people killed, two were children, five were women and four were men.
70,000 people were in attendance at the show to see a performance by national star Abdelaziz Stati.
The show is part of the annual week long Mawazine festival which featured performances from Kylie Minogue, Khaled and Alicia Keys.
