STAMOS EXPECTED TO REMARRY A YEAR AFTER ROMIJN SPLIT

JOHN STAMOS is enjoying his bachelor status, despite planning to wed again following his split from ex-wife REBECCA ROMIJN three years ago (04). The couple split in 2004 after six years of marriage and divorced the following year. The E.R. star admits he initially expected to be in another relationship months after his marriage ended, but three years on, he is still single and Romijn recently wed Jerry O'Connell. Stamos says, "When we first split up I went, 'Right, I'm going to meet a girl, I'll be married within a year.' And then I was like, 'You know, I kind of like being single!' "(A divorce) is an awful experience for anybody to go through, but did it feel more intensified because everybody knew about it? Yeah, there was a short time, about a month, where you'd go to a restaurant and people would point and whisper about you. I thought the media was respectful, but it is weird. In fact (Rebecca) said, "It's weird going into a restaurant and having people know your business."
