SPURLOCK BUYS BEERS DURING POWER CUT
Kind-hearted star MORGAN SPURLOCK treated the audience to a free beer during a screening of his latest film - after a power cut threatened to end the show. The Super Size Me star was treating viewers to a preview of new movie Where In The World Is Osama Bin Laden? at the South By Southwest film festival in Austin, Texas on Monday (10Mar08) night when the city's electricity supply was temporarily lost. But quick-thinking Spurlock announced he was going to buy the audience hundreds of Lone Star beers in a bid to keep them there - but inferred it was movie giant The Weinstein Company who would be footing the bill, reports the New York Post's PageSix column. He told the crowd, "Don't thank me, these beers are brought to you by Bob and Harvey Weinstein. They love you in Austin!"
