SPRINGSTEEN, YOUNG AND BLUR CONFIRMED AS GLASTONBURY HEADLINERS
BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, NEIL YOUNG and BLUR will headline the Glastonbury Festival in Britain next month (Jun09) as the event's bosses salute more established rock 'n' roll acts.
Joining the three headliners on the main stage will be Status Quo, Madness and Tom Jones, while U.K. chart-toppers Dizzee Rascal and the Black Eyed Peas are relegated to side stages.
Festival boss Emily Eavis tells Britain's The Guardian newspaper, "We know there will be objections to whatever we do... we have to follow our gut instinct.
"Risks pay off, and featuring Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen in one weekend was a choice... and we had to take it."
The Wombats, Gabriella Cilmi, Little Boots, Lady GaGa, Pete Doherty and The Prodigy will also perform at this year's three-day festival in Somerset.
