SPRINGSTEEN WINS TOP TOUR PRIZE
BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN + THE E STREET BAND claimed the coveted Top Tour honour at the fifth annual Billboard Touring Awards in New York on Thursday night (20Nov08).
The group's Magic tour was also named 2008's Top Draw, and Springsteen's manager Jon Landau picked up the Top Manager honour at the Roosevelt Hotel prizegiving.
Country star Kenny Chesney claimed the Top Package award for the fourth time, and Miley Cyrus was named Breakthrough Act.
Meanwhile, the Spice Girls were named Top Boxscore award winners for their 17-show stand at the O2 Arena in London, and the Allman Brothers Band were honoured with the Legend of Live tribute.
Chesney also claimed the first Eventful Fans' Choice Award.
New York's Madison Square Garden was named America's Top Arena for the fifth consecutive year, while Tennessee's Bonnaroo claimed its fourth Top Festival prize.
