SPIDER-MAN 3 ACTRESS COMMITS SUICIDE

Lucy Gordon, a British actress who starred in Spider-Man 3, has committed suicide, her agent has confirmed.

Her body was found by French police in her Paris flat yesterday, two days before her 29th birthday, reports suggest.

A local officer is quoted by the Telegraph newspaper as saying: "There were no suspicious circumstances. It appears that the young woman took her own life."

The Oxford-born actress played the character Jennifer Dugan in the third instalment of the Spider-Man franchise in 2007

She recently appeared in Brief Interviews with Hideous Men and worked on a new biopic of Serge Gainsbourg, due for release next year.

Gordon made her film debut in 2001 appearing in Perfume.
