SPICE KIDS ATTEND REHEARSALS

Geri Halliwell has said that the Spice Girls' rehearsals are going well, adding the group had family around them throughout the practice sessions.

In her blog on the Spice Girls website, the singer said preparations for the group's forthcoming world tour were like family television show The Waltons, due to the large number of children present at the Los Angeles centre rehearsals.

Ginger Spice wrote: "[I]t's like the Waltons on tour with babies and husbands all around."

She added that Emma played with her child Beau during breaks from the rehearsals while Victoria Beckham's son Cruz was also enjoying himself at the sessions. Halliwell added that her daughter Bluebell was also around as the stars practise for their return.

Unlike media reports claiming serious infighting between the Spice Girls, Halliwell – who previously left the group to pursue a solo career - said the sessions were enjoyable. She added that the group were doing the same things they did ten years ago.

"We're working hard and it’s like we've never been apart. I really like it when we're singing in harmony with the band. It's funny that ten years on each of us still remembers our harmony lines. It’s like riding a bike – you just don’t forget. It's like it's ingrained in us," she wrote.

The Look at Me star added that the group that created girl power had now grown up and changed into Spice Women.

"The Spice Girls are now Spice Women – full, sensual and stronger through their life experiences. It's fantastic to be around the humour, and although the pressure is on, being part of a group is a wonderful thing. I receive a lot of support and encouragement from the other girls," she stated.

Halliwell also stated that the members functioned as "a democracy", consulting each other and discussing group decisions.

The Fab Five recently released a single, Headlines, ahead of their scheduled tour dates which will see them perform in 18 cities around the world.
