SPECTOR'S MORBID CONFESSION TO FAN
Incarcerated PHIL SPECTOR fears for his life behind bars despite winning a bid to remain in a high-security prison, telling a fan that jail time is "killing" him.
The pioneering producer has been held at California's maximum security Corcoran Prison since June (09) after he was convicted of murdering actress Lana Clarkson in April (09).
Officials had planned to move Spector to the state's Pleasant Valley State Prison to make way for convicts requiring mental health treatment.
Spector's wife Rachelle objected over claims Pleasant Valley has a history of outbreaks of the potentially deadly disease Valley Fever and eventually won her bid to halt the transfer.
But the hitmaker is languishing in prison, revealing morbid thoughts to a fan in a letter obtained by the New York Post.
Spector writes: "This 24/7 lockdown life is slowly driving me insane and killing (me)."
The producer, 69, is serving 19 years to life.

These guys got it first, and got it right. All I
can say is, WOW! Hal Lifson couldn't pay for
press like this!

I had never heard of Gawker before this, but Mr. Snyder tells the story so
well. And the rest, Mr. Spector tells himself.
