SPECTOR SENTENCED TO 19 YEARS BEHIND BARS

Music producer PHIL SPECTOR has been sentenced to 19 years to life in prison for the murder of actress LANA CLARKSON.
Spector was convicted of killing the actress in April (09).
Clarkson was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head in the foyer of the music mogul's Alhambra, California mansion in 2003.
His lawyers are planning to appeal his conviction.
It took two trials, spread out over six years, to put Spector behind bars - a hung jury and a mistrial marked the end of Spector’s first murder trial in September 2007.
The second trial began late last year (08) and resulted in Spector, the mastermind behind the Wall of Sound recordings, being found guilty of second-degree murder in April.
During the two trials, the record producer was portrayed as a gun-loving "monster" who liked to pick on women assistants and girlfriends.
Former girlfriends and assistants lined up to testify against the mogul.
Throughout the case, Spector and his legal team maintained depressed Clarkson shot herself.
Many believe the key to the producer's conviction was his former driver's testimony in both the original trial and retrial - the chauffeur claimed Spector told him, "I think I killed somebody," immediately after the shooting.

THIS JUST IN. The day after Mr. Spector was convicted, a lady in Colorado Springs filed a Restraining Order on his Son even after claiming she had not spoken to the son in 8-10 months and that he had never threatened her with violence. Turns out, what he did do was work for her for 4 years helping to setup and tear-down a Karaoke show. Amazing what someone will stoop to for their 15 minutes of fame.
