SPEARS IN ANOTHER DRIVING ERROR

Troubled singer Britney Spears accidentally ran over the foot of a photographer while driving into the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles.

Spears was mobbed by paparazzi, who surrounded her car to take pictures of her, on the posh restaurant's driveway.

American broadcaster E! reports that a security guard was trying to urge the photojournalists to give the vehicle room to move when the accident occurred.

The Oops I Did It Again star's Mercedes was making slow progress towards the parking lot when the foot of one of the paparazzi around the vehicle came under a tyre.

Spears, whose brushes with the law have been covered in detail by the tabloid press over the past year, has bumped members of the media with her car twice before.

Over the past year, the singer's court cases have been harmed by her problems behind the wheel. Spears was charged with two misdemeanours over a parking offence in LA over the summer.

The pop princes got into trouble for leaving the scene of the accident but was spared possible jail time after agreeing to pay for the damage caused by the driving mishap.

Meanwhile lawyers representing Spears are set to appear for a second emergency hearing into the singer's child custody battle with her former husband Kevin Federline today.

Federline's attorneys have requested the latest hearing amid concerns about the singer's driving. Recently, a video was released which showed the Baby One More Time star running a red light while her kids were asleep in the back of the car. A court-appointed monitor was also in the vehicle at the time.

Speaking to People magazine about the incident, Spears' attorney said: "Ms Spears was being mobbed by paparazzi at the time. She was distracted. This was not blatant irresponsible driving on her part."
