Spears' Former Assistant Served With Subpoena
BRITNEY SPEARS' former assistant SHANNON FUNK has been served with court papers in relation to the singer's custody battle with ex-husband KEVIN FEDERLINE.
Funk - who was fired as Spears' sidekick last month (Jul07) - was handed the deposition subpoena after arriving at Long Beach Airport in California on Tuesday night (14Aug07).
Funk is the latest person to be served with a subpoena, following Spears' cousin Alli Sims and the pop star's bodyguard Daimon Shippen, who were served with the legal documents earlier this week (12+13Aug07).
Federline is looking to gain full custody of the former couple's two sons, Sean Preston, 23 months, and Jayden James, 11 months, after becoming concerned about Spears' parental skills.
Lawyers for both parties appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom on Tuesday (14Aug07) to ask a judge to keep details of their custody case under wraps for the sake of their two children.
After the hearing, Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan told TMZ.com: "Kevin is concerned that the more time the children are with him, he feels the more insulated they are from risks that would otherwise be possibly visited upon them."
