SPEARS DROPS COSTS FOR RESTRAINING ORDER CASES
Lawyers for BRITNEY SPEARS have amended legal papers seeking costs from the men involved in her recent restraining order case - lowering the fees for her former manager SAM LUTFI and her ex-boyfriend ADNAN GHALIB.
The Toxic hitmaker won a court order in March (09) banning paparazzo Ghalib from going within 100 yards of the singer or her family members for the next three years.
A similar order was handed out a month later (April09) to Lutfi and his attorney Jon Eardley.
And Spears' legal team subsequently filed papers demanding her former associates pay her attorneys' bill.
But now representatives for the star have amended their original demands, filing new papers at Los Angeles County Superior Court on Wednesday (27May09) reducing the total fees by thousands of dollars.
They have now asked a judge to order Lutfi to pay $114,552 (£76,368), $8,590 (£5,727) less than their previous request, while they are demanding Ghalib pays $65,552 (£42,701), down from $72,292 (£48,195).
Eardley has been asked to pay $121,184 (£80,789), down from $129,922 (£86,615), according to Radar Online.
A ruling has yet to be made on the requests.
