SPARRO GIVES UP PARTYING FOR CAREER
Australian singer/songwriter SAM SPARRO was forced to give up his party lifestyle - because he kept losing his voice.
The Black and Gold hitmaker admits he used to be a regular on the social scene - but his wild antics would play havoc with his vocal chords.
So Sparro decided to clean up his lifestyle to concentrate on his music career.
He says, "I used to be a wild party boy, but I used to lose my voice too. I don't want to go on stage and think, 'I've no voice. If only I'd smoked half the amount of fags and had half the amount of drink I could sing right now.'
"When I was recording the album, I still had a few tracks to record and I started losing my voice. I went to the throat doctor, who told me I couldn't speak, definitely not smoke, have no caffeine or alcohol. It was boring."
