SOUTH PARK CREATORS WENT TO OSCARS ON ACID

SOUTH PARK creators TREY PARKER and MATT STONE attended the 2000 Academy Awards dressed in drag because they had taken LSD. The animators were nominated for Best Music, Original Song for SOUTH PARK: BIGGER, LONGER + UNCUT at the star-studded ceremony, and shocked fellow guests by donning dresses and behaving outrageously. Stone says, "We took acid and tripped. It seemed like the right day - drop acid and get on the red carpet in a dress." The experience had such a profound effect on Stone, he has avoided the drug ever since. "I haven't taken acid since then."
