SORVINO HAUNTED BY SCHOOLMATE'S DEATH

Oscar winner MIRA SORVINO is still haunted by the death of a schoolmate who was killed when a garage door fell on him. The actress admits she conjures up memories of the tragedy every time she's involved in traumatic scenes in harrowing films. She says, "I remember when I was in junior high and this boy, Nico Trask, was killed by a garage door falling on him, and I still remember that day - even though I didn't know him - just being shocked and saddened, and crying all day long. "This poor kid was just like us with his whole life ahead of him. It seemed so unfair and random and cruel and I'll remember that day always."
