'Murder on the Dancefloor' singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor enjoys being able to juggle motherhood and her career.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor loves being a working mother.

The 'Murder on the Dancefloor' star adores juggling motherhood with her singing career as it allows her to focus on her two favourite things.

She said: "I love being a working mother! It's boring to be defined by one thing in life so I dedicate myself to my two passions - music and motherhood. My mum always worked and taught me that it's healthy to have other interests. It does break my heart to be away from my babies though!"

The British singer gave birth to her second son Kit Valentine with The Feeling bassist Richard Jones nine weeks early in February this year.

Sophie had been suffering from the potentially life-threatening pregnancy illness pre-eclampsia and was rushed into hospital early.

The 30-year-old star - who also has a five-year-old son Sonny - recently said she was "addicted" to being a mother.

She explained: "We haven't really got a plan to have more but they're very addictive. I'd like another and then I don't know. I've always liked the idea of quite a few so I think definitely three and then maybe an accident after that."
