SOLANGE KNOWLES DROPPED FROM RECORD LABEL?

R&B singer SOLANGE KNOWLES has been dropped from her record label following poor sales of her latest album SOL-ANGEL AND THE HADLEY ST. DREAMS, according to a new report.
Beyonce's younger sister, who is also managed by father Mathew Knowles and his MusicWorld Entertainment company, was allegedly released from Geffen/Interscope Records after bosses opted not to renew her contract.
Solange's second album was released last August (08), but has only sold around 138,000 copies to date.
And BlackVoices.com claims the poor performance of the disc has prompted label executives to bring their working relationship to an end.
A source tells the website, "Geffen did a one-off deal with MusicWorld Entertainment for Solange and wasn't interested in doing a new contract with her.
"People at the label really liked working with her because... she was a constant professional. There were challenges dealing with her camp, but Solange was great to work with. In the end, the CD didn't sell despite Solange's countless high profile appearances."
But all is not lost for Solange - she's rumoured to be in talks with Epic Records to release her next album.
