SODERBERGH CALLED FOR JURY DUTY
Director STEVEN SODERBERGH was asked to report for jury duty at Manhattan Supreme Court yesterday (26FEB07), but was shocked when the judge refused to believe his esteemed Hollywood status.
THE GOOD GERMAN and TRAFFIC filmmaker was called in to listen to the statutory rape case of an Upper East Side teacher accused of seducing two male students.
But according to PageSix.com, when Judge CAROL BERKMAN asked Soderbergh - who she didn't recognise - what he did for a living, and he replied "I'm in film", she retorted "Everybody's in film."
He then explained he was currently editing OCEAN'S THIRTEEN and was subsequently rejected as a juror.
