SOBER CASABLANCAS EXCITED ABOUT FATHERHOOD

THE STROKES frontman JULIAN CASABLANCAS doesn't regret giving up booze, because a sober lifestyle has made him more excited about becoming a first-time father.
The rocker's wife Juliet Joslin is due to give birth to their first child in February (10).
Casablancas has quit drinking alcohol after his habit began affecting his ability to write good music - and he's now looking forward to being a responsible dad.
He says, "You enjoy everything less when you're drunk - even dating or mating. If you're sober everything's just way funnier... I'm super excited. I love something I don't know or haven't met yet.
"It still hasn't sunk in yet even though I better get used to it because Juliet is six months pregnant now. I don't know how a baby will fit into my touring. I want to keep my child away from that world or else it will grow up with a sense of entitlement. 'Y'know, my daddy's a rock star.'"
