SOBBING SINGER FORCES NIGHTWISH GIG TO END EARLY
Scandinavian rockers NIGHTWISH were forced to end a gig in Brazil early on Monday night (10Nov08), after lead singer ANETTE OLZON burst into tears and stormed offstage.
The band were midway through their performance in Belo Horizonte when Olzon broke down after singing The Poet and the Pendulum. After she left the stage, other bandmembers attempted to continue without her, and even performed two more cover songs, before calling time, explaining to the audience that Olzon is experiencing personal problems, reports the website Blabbermouth.
The incident comes less than two months after Olzen's "sudden severe illness" forced the band to end its North American tour early.
