SOAP AND SPORT STARS IN NEW DANCING ON ICE LINEUP

Actors Todd Carty and Roxanne Pallett are among the celebrities confirmed to take part in the new series of Dancing on Ice.

The EastEnders and Emmerdale stars are part of a roster of 13 celebrities set to don their skates for the fourth season of the ITV1 show.

Also among the contestants are sporting greats Ellery Hanley and Graeme Le Saux while singers Ray Quinn and Jessica Taylor will also hit the ice on Sunday January 11th.

Completing the female lineup is ex-EastEnders and Hollyoaks actress Gemma Bissix, presenter and model Melinda Messenger, Loose Women host Coleen Nolan and Blue Peter presenter Zoe Salmon.

And the remaining male competitors have been revealed as actor and TV presenter Jeremy Edwards, investigative reporter Donal MacIntyre and children's TV anchor Michael Underwood, who was forced to withdraw from last year's series after suffering a broken ankle.

The 13 participants will aim to emulate the skating feats of previous winners Gaynor Faye, Kyran Bracken and Suzanne Shaw when series four begins on ITV1 at 19:00 GMT on Sunday January 11th.

Presenters Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby are back as well as the judging panel of Jason Gardiner, Nicky Slater, Karen Barber, Ruthie Henshall and Robin Cousins.

The new series also includes the return of the Ice Star competition, with ice skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean searching for the most original ice acts in the UK.

The winner will be handed a chance to perform in the Dancing on Ice final and on the Dancing on Ice tour.
