SNOW PATROL STAR GOES COUNTRY

SNOW PATROL frontman GARY LIGHTBODY is taking a break from rock to record a country album.
The band is currently on hiatus while the Northern Irish singer works on his side projects, which includes a CD of country tracks called Tired Pony.
He says, "I always thought I had a country album in me and it turns out, I did. I don't know whether people will dig it. I wanted to get it out of my system."
And Lightbody hasn't stopped at country music - he is also busy in the studio creating an experimental record which he has dubbed "Russian submarine music".
He adds, "There's lots of voices on it with me using my vocals as an instrument rather than a guitar. It sounds like some underwater choir."
