SNOOP DOGG'S VISA BAN 'LIFTED'

Rapper Snoop Dogg will be permitted to perform in the UK, after a visa ban preventing him from entering the country was reportedly lifted.

The Gin and Juice star - real name Calvin Broadus - was cautioned for affray at London's Heathrow airport in April 2006, when Snoop and his entourage vandalised a duty-free store by throwing whisky bottles after some members of the group had been denied entry to the British Airways first class lounge as they were flying in economy class.

The Home Office decided he should be banned from the UK in May 2006 and his visa request to enter the UK in March 2007 was rejected by local authorities due to the Heathrow incident, leading to the cancellation of four planned British concerts with P Diddy.

But speaking on CNN's Larry King Live, the 36-year-old claimed the ban has now been rescinded.

"I was wrongfully accused and now I've been accepted back in," Snoop said. "The judge overturned it."

He continued: "He looked at the evidence… and found me to be innocent and now I'm able to go back out there.

"So everybody in the UK- big Snoop Dogg will be back to come give you all what you want."

Snoop was sentenced to five years of probation relating to gun and drug charges in April 2007 and was denied entry to Australia later that month, after the country's Department of Immigration and Citizenship cited concerns regarding his previous criminal convictions.

He had criticised the Home Office ban while presenting the MTV Europe Music Awards in Munich, Germany, last year, saying the UK has "judicial laws from the 1800s".
