SMIRNOFF SUES TEXAS RESTAURANT
DANCING WITH THE STARS world champion dancer KARINA SMIRNOFF has filed suit against a Texas restaurant for allegedly failing to pay her appearance fees.
The Ukrainian star - who has partnered with country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and R&B star Mario on the U.S. reality TV competition - allegedly made an agreement with San Antonio's Panchito's Restaurant for $6,000 (£4,285) to appear at a benefit on 3 January (09) for infant health charity March of Dimes.
Smirnoff's attorney Michael Miller says, "They said, 'It wasn't a very good business deal on our part. We didn't make any money on it, so we don't have any money to pay her."
Restaurant bosses reportedly deny making a financial agreement.
An attorney representing the firm's owner has declined to comment.
