SLIPKNOT'S HOMETOWN FESTIVAL SCRAPPED
Heavy rockers SLIPKNOT have pulled out of a hometown festival in Iowa, forcing organisers to scrap the event.
The one-day, two-stage Des Moines event, which the group was to headline, was scheduled for 9 September (09). No reason for the band's cancellation was available as WENN went to press.
The Slipknot festival is the second such Iowa event to be scrapped in the space of a week - the four-day Rock Gone Wild show, featuring classic rock acts like Saxon, Twisted Sister and Great White, was axed after a bust up between organisers and venue bosses.
That festival was scheduled to take place at the Diamond Jo Casino in Northwood from 20 August (09).
