SLATER'S SERIES 'AXED OVER RATINGS SLUMP'
Actor CHRISTIAN SLATER's TV spy series MY OWN WORST ENEMY has reportedly been cancelled by its network after a string of poor ratings.
Network giant NBC scrapped the thriller series after its first four episodes pulled in an average of 5.9 million viewers - compared to the 21.1 million who tune in to rival CBS' crime drama CSI.
The doomed series starred movie veteran Slater as a man with two personalities. But despite heavy promotion, Slater's star billing, and a Monday 10pm slot following hit show Heroes, the series flopped.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the show was cancelled because of the poor viewing figures. It is not yet known if the remaining episodes will be aired.
