Actor CHRISTIAN SLATER is set for a monster role in his next movie - as DR FRANKENSTEIN's infamous hunchbacked sidekick, IGOR. Slater will voice the deformed character in new computer-generated animated film IGOR. He'll be joined by STEVE BUSCEMI and JOHN CLEESE, who will voice the character of the Frankenstein-esque evil genius DR GLICKENSTEIN in the project. But this story is more comedy than horror - Slater's Igor has big dreams of becoming a scientist in his own right and winning the coveted first place award at the annual Evil Science Fair. FARGO star Buscemi will play a genetically-altered cat called SCAMPER in the animated film.
