Hollywood actor CHRISTIAN SLATER regrets never acting with his icon SIR JOHN MILLS before his death in 2005. Slater, 38, was desperate to work with the veteran actor - but was denied the chance after Mills died of chest infection, aged 97. He says, "Sir John said he admired my body of work and expressed how he would like to meet me. But each time we set a date something happened. And then he died on me."
