The legendary musician is has agreed to record a cover version of LED ZEPPELIN classic Kashmir with the classical group.

According to the Sun, the plan was hatched when Simon Cowell met the rocker at John's Oscars party in Los Angeles.

"Simon thinks Slash is incredible and they got on like a house on fire at Elt's party," said an insider.

"He was looking for someone unexpected to work with the girls and asked if he'd be interested. He really liked the idea and jumped at the chance."

ESCALA are currently recording their debut album, which will reportedly include covers of Live And Let Die by WINGS, Children by ROBERT MILES and Run by SNOW PATROL.
