SKINNER TAKES BLAME FOR SWINE FLU SONG
THE STREETS frontman MIKE SKINNER has been ordered by record label bosses to distance them from his controversial new track about the swine flu pandemic - fearing the bad publicity will damage the company's reputation.
The star posted the track He's Behind You, He's Got Swine Flu, on YouTube.com earlier this week (begs04May09).
But he quickly followed it up with a blog post insisting "that nothing I do right now has anything to do with the label (Vice Recordings)".
Skinner adds on his Twitter.com blog, "They would not condone what I am doing."
The health crisis has already claimed the lives of more than 100 people in Mexico City, where the virus is thought to have originated.
