SKATING STAR HAMILL FIGHTING BREAST CANCER

American ice-skating star DOROTHY HAMILL has been diagnosed with breast cancer, it has been revealed. The Olympic gold medallist - the ex-wife of American singer/actor Dean Paul Martin - is currently undergoing treatment at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center in Baltimore, Maryland, where representatives say her prognosis is very favourable. As a result of her treatment, Hamill has been forced to temporarily withdraw from the Broadway on Ice U.S. tour, but hopes to rejoin the tour later this month (16Jan08), reports Access Hollywood.
