Legendary director Sir Ridley Scott has turned his back on traditional filmmaking after starting his first 3D movie Prometheus, insisting all his future work will feature the multi-dimensional technique.
Scott is going back to his sci-fi roots in the new blockbuster, originally slated to be a prequel to his hit Alien franchise, and he is using 3D filming technology for the first time.
Scott has become a big fan of the process, and vowed to use it in all his future films.
In a video-link message at the Comic-Con event in San Diego, California on Thursday (21Jul11), he told fans, "I'll never work without 3D again... (it) opens up the universe of even a small dialogue thing."
Prometheus, which stars Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace, is due for release next year (12).
