SIMMONS LAUNCHES NEW CANADIAN LABEL

KISS star GENE SIMMONS has launched his own record label, so he can give Canadian talent a boost. The rocker's Simmons Records will operate under the Universal Music Canada banner - and he insists his latest business venture is only for acts north of America.
He says, "If you’re reading this and you’re in a Canadian band... and you believe you’re the next Elvis or Beatles... go to SimmonsRecords.com and we will tell you how you can submit your electronic demo. This is serious.
"We are signing three new acts the first year. We intend on launching them from Canada and then worldwide."
