SIGEL DRIVES AWAY FROM RENTAL CAR DISPUTE

LATEST: Prosecutors have withdrawn stolen car charges against rapper BEANIE SIGEL after accepting the fuss was all a big misunderstanding. The rap star, real name Dwight Grant, was charged with stealing a rental car when he failed to return the vehicle on time last month (Sep07). Sigel rented a 2007 Nissan Altima from Payless Car Rental in Philadephia, Pennsylvania in July (07), but didn't return it by the 13 August (07) due date, or contact the rental company. All outstanding fees have since been paid and Sigel's attorney, Fortunato N. Perri Jr, insists, "This essentially was a misunderstanding between the two parties."
