SICK PARENTS COST OSMOND HER HEALTH

MARIE OSMOND has blamed three years of caring for her sick parents for a weight problem that left her unable to perform at her best last year (06). The singer found herself gasping for breath after simple dance routines on her last Christmas tour, and couldn't grasp how she'd become so out of shape. After her son warned her about her fitness levels, Osmond signed up to appear on U.S. reality show Dancing With The Stars and the training brought her weight down and gave her a new level of health. Now, looking back, the Paper Roses singer is convinced that caring for her dying parents Olive and George, who died last month (Nov07), took a terrible toll on her health. She says, "I put so much weight on with my parents being sick. You just sit there and talk to them and drink milkshakes."
