SICK MINNELLI SCRAPS BROADWAY PERFORMANCE
LIZA MINNELLI has cancelled a performance of her critically-acclaimed Broadway show "due to health reasons and doctor's orders," according to a spokesperson for the star.
The legendary entertainer, 62, scrapped Wednesday's (10Dec08) show - one week after making her debut with Liza's at the Palace.
The production marks her return to Broadway after nearly six years - she was last seen on the New York stage in a 2002 production titled Liza's Back!
Show producer John Scher says, "This past opening week has been a marathon run for Liza - which unfortunately has led her to dehydration and her doctor has insisted she get some extra rest.
"Liza will return for the show's next scheduled performance on Friday, Dec 12th."
The production was originally scheduled to run until 14 December (08) but was recently extended through 28 December (08) due to high demand.
Ticket holders for the cancelled show can exchange tickets for any future scheduled performance
