SHYNE DEPORTED BY U.S. IMMIGRATION AUTHORITIES
Rapper SHYNE is returning to his native Belize - U.S. immigration officials have rejected his plea to remain in the country following his release from jail earlier this month (Oct09).
The hip-hop star was behind bars in New York for more than eight years for his part in a 1999 club shooting.
He was convicted of first degree assault and reckless endangerment in 2001 in relation to the incident, which left a woman with serious facial injuries.
His jail time came to an end at the beginning of the month (Oct09), but the star remained incarcerated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement bosses as they decided whether or not to deport him to his Central American homeland.
Shyne's father, who is the Prime Minister of Belize, formally appealed to the Governor of New York to pardon his son - but even his powerful position hasn't helped.
The rapper - real name Jamal Barrow - was released and put on a plane back to Belize from New York on Wednesday (28Oct09), according to AllHipHop.com.
