SHOOTING AT SIGEL'S BIRTHDAY PARTY

Rapper BEANIE SIGEL's birthday party ended in violence at the weekend (07/08Mar09) when a reveller was left badly injured in a shooting.
The rapper, real name Dwight Grant, was hosting a party on Saturday (07Mar09) to celebrate his 35th birthday at Club Solo in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania when trouble flared.
As Sigel performed on stage, 24-year-old Tyheem Baker was shot in the chest after coming out of the bathroom, according to AllHipHop.com.
Baker was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and is said to be in a stable condition.
Sigel's lawyer, Fortunato Perri Jr., revealed the rapper was not aware of the incident until coming off stage after his performance.
The lawyer says, "He was told later that something happened, but he didn't know who was involved."
