SHILPA SHETTY TO VISIT DYING JADE

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is flying into the UK next week to visit terminally ill Jade Goody.

The pair both appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2007, with Shetty going on to win the show, but their time in the house was marred by accusations of racism and bullying.

Goody recently left hospital to return to her home in Essex and spend time with her young sons Freddy and Bobby.

The 27-year-old has been told she may only have weeks to live after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Her publicist Max Clifford confirmed Shetty would be visiting Jade soon.

"Shilpa has been keeping in touch with her for months and they are good friends," Clifford said.

"She desperately wants to see her if she's well enough."

He added, however, his client's condition had deteriorated and she was feeling "very weak".

"We are on the edge of a precipice," he added.

Jade's 21-year-old husband Jack Tweed was allowed to break his curfew yesterday to visit her.

Tweed was jailed for 18 months last September after assaulting a teenager with a golf club. He was released from prison early in January on strict bail conditions.
