SHIA LABEOUF'S CRASH DRIVER CITED
The other driver involved in actor SHIA LaBEOUF's recent car crash has been cited for running a red light and causing the accident which put the TRANSFORMERS star in hospital with a smashed hand.
The movie star's truck flipped twice after LaBeouf collided with 21-year-old Simon Herbert's vehicle in Hollywood on 27 July (08).
LaBeouf has since undergone hand surgery, which delayed shooting on the Transformers sequel. The young star is now back on the set.
Police have determined Herbert failed to stop at a stop light and was responsible for the crash. He has been ordered to appear in court next month (Sep08).
The authorities are still awaiting for the return of blood tests so they can determine if LaBeouf was driving under the influence.
The actor's Transformers director Michael Bay insists LaBeouf was driving safe at the time of the crash: "He was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before... That's (DUI rumour) gonna go away.”
