SHERYL CROW 'STILL LOVES' ARMSTRONG

Sheryl Crow has said that despite the pain of her break up from Lance Armstrong, "the love doesn't stop" between them.

The pair began dating in 2003 and announced their engagement in September last year, which was to last for just five months.

Speaking on the Oprah Winfrey show, the 44-year-old discussed how tough the past year has been for her. As well as splitting from Armstrong, a former Tour de France winner, she has also battled with breast cancer.

But despite the challenges she has faced, Crow, a nine-time Grammy award-winning singer, told Oprah that the year has made her stronger.

"I've had so many people say to me, 'Gosh, you know, everything's really gone wrong for you this year,' and it took me going through that to realise that everything really went right for me," she said.

As well as the lessons learnt from her split from Armstrong, Crow said that fighting breast cancer has provided her with some clarity on life.

Now cancer-free for six months, she said: "I want to remember every moment of what was going on at that time because we talk about defining moments, but I think nothing can define you. They're all refining moments. You're constantly refining yourself and refining your life."
