SHERYL CROW COMFORTED BY SON'S SONGS
Sheryl Crow finds listening to her son's favourite music ''comforting'' as they are songs that have been around for a long time.
Sheryl Crow finds comfort in her son's favourite music.
The 'All I Wanna Do' singer - who adopted two-year-old Wyatt in 2007 - admits hearing her little boy listen to songs she grew up with makes her very humble.
She said: "I took Wyatt to Little Gym…and there was a version of 'When You Wish Upon a Star,' by I think, Take 6, on. And it just slayed me. I found that now the songs that I go to are songs that I grew up with, like 'Someone to Watch Over Me.' It's comforting to me as a mother, and it's comforting to me as a human being, that there is something bigger than myself out there."
Sheryl also revealed adopting a child was not her first option, as she always believed she would be married and have a baby naturally, but decided she had to take control of her life and wasn't worried about being single when she started the process.
She added to Health magazine: "I had to let go of this picture I'd always painted about my life.
"At the time I was considering adoption, everything else had sort of not worked. I was willing to let go of the story you tell."
