SHELTON RAISES CASH FOR WILDFIRE VICTIMS

Country star BLAKE SHELTON has handed over $108,000 (GBP60,000) to officials in his native Oklahoma to help relief efforts coping with the aftermath of recent wildfires in the state. The singer raised the cash at a charity Raindance festival in May (06), where he was joined by fellow country acts TRACY BYRD and ANDY GRIGGS. Shelton hopes to make the three-day fundraiser an annual charity event.
