Country star BLAKE SHELTON scrapped his Saturday night (15Sep07) concert in Virginia after learning about the death of his favourite uncle.
The dead man, 72-year-old Dempsey Byrd, died on Wednesday (12Sep07) after he was struck by a van while walking down a street in Shelton's native Ada, Oklahoma.
