SHEEN ANNOYED AT OSCAR SNUB
Actor MICHAEL SHEEN is upset his performance in the hit film THE QUEEN was snubbed at this month's Oscar ceremony (25FEB07).
The movie has become an awards favourite and plaudits have been lavished on star DAME HELEN MIRREN, director STEPHEN FREARS and screenwriter PETER MORGAN - but Sheen, who plays British Prime Minister TONY BLAIR in the film, is feeling left out.
He moans, "The other day I suddenly got an attack of, 'Hang on, everybody else got nominated apart from me.' That's really upsetting.
"I know that nobody's consciously gone, 'Right, we're not going to nominate him'. But hang on: it got Best Film, Best Director, Best Writer, Best Leading Actress, Best Music, Best Costumes.
"I'm the only one who didn't get a look in."
The Queen focuses on the week following the death of DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES, who lost her life in a high-speed car crash in Paris, France in 1997.
