SHATNER: 'DON'T SEND ME INTO SPACE'
STAR TREK legend WILLIAM SHATNER is refusing a free trip into space on SIR RICHARD BRANSON's first Virgin Galactic passenger flight in 2008 - because he fears he will never come back down. Shatner admits he's nothing like his Star Trek character CAPTAIN KIRK, and a voyage into the unknown would most likely result in a marathon vomiting session on his part. He says, "I'm interested in man's march into the unknown but to vomit in space is not my idea of a good time. Neither is a fiery crash with the vomit hovering over me. "I do want to go up but I need guarantees I'll definitely be coming back."
