SHARON OSBOURNE SUED OVER REALITY SHOW FIGHT

Reality television star Sharon Osbourne is being sued by a contestant with whom she had an altercation on air.

Former X Factor judge Osbourne poured water over Megan Hauserman on an edition of the Rock of Love Charm School show on VH1 in January, after Hauserman had insulted Osbourne's musician husband Ozzy.

Ms Hauserman, 27, alleges Sharon Osbourne hit her, pulled her hair and scratched her during the altercation, and is seeking a jury trial and punitive damages.

"It's pretty hard to deny what happened on the video," said Ms Hauserman's lawyer Warren J Binder.

"We look forward to our day in court," he told the Associated Press news agency.

Ms Hauserman is suing Sharon Osbourne for battery, negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress, and is also claiming past, present and future medical expenses, as well as loss of earning capacity and business opportunities.

Sharon Osbourne's publicists have not yet commented.
