The Hips Don't Lie singer insists her life lacked focus until she began seeing a counsellor who has helped her untangle all the issues troubling her.
It's proven such a success, she now recommends therapy to everyone she meets.
Shakira tells Latina magazine, "I like having a person who helps me analyse myself. I recommend it to every person I know. I have a lot of friends that go to therapy now, and their lives have changed in such positive ways. When I want to know the answer to all these questions - What do I want? Who am I? Why am I still doing this? - I go to my analyst."
