SEVIGNY TAKES AIM AT NEW YORK SOCK MAN

Actress CHLOE SEVIGNY has launched a verbal attack on a grumpy New York retailer, comparing him to the SOUP NAZI in hit TV comedy SEINFELD. Marty Rosen, owner of The Sock Man in the Big Apple's East Village, came under attack from Sevigny after she encountered the moody manager during a recent shopping trip to his store.
Likening him to the rude chef on comedian Jerry Seinfeld's show, she says, "I love that place, but the guy's the grumpiest man on Earth. He's like the Soup Nazi, but he sells socks."
But Rosen, who reportedly raises his voice at customers who take too long browsing or ask too many questions, is refusing to change his ways - suggesting Sevigny was only offended because he had no idea she was a star.
He tells the New York Daily News, "I have my moments. I'm from New York, we all have our moments.
"Dealing with retail isn't the easiest thing, and maybe she came in when I was grumpy. Maybe she was upset that I didn't know who she was.
"(Sevigny) still shops here, so I'm not going to say anything to dis (insult) her. I'd rather let it go and say I'm the grumpiest sock man in New York City. I don't care. I'm the Sock Nazi."
